Have to admit that I'm tempted to just put an end(); at the top of the update.php file but I'm sure that'll either break something or miss checks somewhere else. While I don't see anything that worries me in those calls, it concerns me that <a href="http://trac.mu.wordpress.org/ticket/434"previously</a rel="nofollow"> stuff like that was optional.
